The Tiger Den is the youngest Cub Scout den. It consists of boys in the first grade or boys of the age of 7. Tigers must be accompanied by their “Akela” (adult partner, a parent, grandparent, guardian etc) at all tiger den meetings and pack events. Tiger Cub Scout Uniforms
Cub scouts wear a “class A” uniform that consists of a cap, neckerchief with slider, and button-up shirt. In some Cub Scout Packs, official boy scout uniforms pants are also required but in our pack, we allow the boys to wear their BCA school uniform trousers or a clean pair of denim jeans. The required uniform items can be purchased, along with Pack related insignia at the Metarie Scout Store (see below for scout store and council details). Here is a picture of
a cub scout in proper class A uniform. This is a Uniform Inspection sheet that can help you Uniform Inspection Sheet place insignia patches and properly dress your Tiger the first time he wears his uniform.
Class B uniforms consist of clean jeans or BCA uniform pants along with our Pack’s T-shirt. To buy a pack T-shirt, send our Treasurer an email at 454treasurer@gmail.com. They cost $10 and most sizes are still available.
